Fast, uncomplicated and totally without tools: Changing the saw blade on the new Format-4 machine is incredibly simple.

Thanks to the locking system, the flange can be tightened and released by hand. The tool free adjustment of the splitter is carried out via a clamp lever.

There is a well designed storage area for up to 5 saw blades built directly in the machine. This means that your blades are always at hand, for quick changeover and reduction in lost production time.

With the new kappa 550 you can dramatically increase the cutting height of your panel saw. The kappa 550 gives you 202 mm at 90° and 141 mm at 46°. When you are looking at premium class panel saws, these are the figures you should be searching for!

The outrigger table can be swung out of the way with ease. You no longer have to worry about the uncomfort of mounting and demounting the outrigger table. The swing away system of the outrigger table on the new kappa 550 ensures extreme ease of use and at the same time can provide you with extra working space when you need it.

The integrated guide rollers of the outrigger table ensure an incredibly smooth operation upon maximum load capacity. The bearing rail is moved along a “X-Roll” guiding and is fast and micro-adjustable. Das Ablesen des Einstellwinkels erfolgt 1/100 gradgenau über die Digitalanzeige.

Infinite adjustment range –45 bis +45°. With the LED display you can set your required angle accurate to a tenth of a degree. With the e-motion models this is integrated into the TFT screen. Miter length compensation is done via the vernier scale with the standard fence, with the CNC crosscut fence the length compensation is automatic.

The newly developed overhead saw guard and dust removal system deliver perfect extraction results. The overhead saw guard, with its striking design, is on linear guides making it very easy to adjust the height. The dust and shavings are sucked from the saw guard into the extraction pipe via a short hose. The dust extraction below the table encloses the complete saw unit. The dust channel is from an exctraction point of view perfectly designed, providing an optimum air flow and perfect main blade and scoring unit extraction results.

When processing work pieces after they have been cut using an edgebander or CNC machine, the labels with bar code will help to increase the efficiency of your production

When used in conjunction with the Ardis cutting optimisation software, you can print labels to code each workpiece

Easy moving, the rip fence almost hovers over the guide bar on the saw sliding table saw. The single-handed quick clamping and the fine adjustment ensure the quick and accurate setting of the rip fence to your required measurement!

The aluminum rip fence plate can be adjusted to optimize the feed of workpieces. When working with narrow and thin cuts of wood or with the sawblade tilted, it can be inverted and used in the lying position.

The rip fence can be fitted with an electronic digital-display. 8 bearings ensure the integrated outrigger table with supporting arm has a smooth operation even with the maximum loading capacity. The workpiece roller at the end of the outrigger table guarantees easy loading of workpieces.

of up to 126”. With the standard equipment you receive engineering and convenience of the highest class. The scale and the magnifying glass on the fence-stop ensure precise adjustments and settings from the operating area.

On request, we’ll equip your Format-4 with the digital telescopic fence. Below, you see the cleverly integrated electronic digital scale with values correct to 4/1000” (0.1 mm). Additional functions, for example the setting of successive measurements, make your daily working life easier.

For the processing of non-ferrous ­metals, your FORMAT-4 can be ­fitted with spraying equipment. This enables high performance lubricating oil to be sprayed directly onto the sawblade.

Both halves of the pressure segments can be controlled individually. Clamping length of 118⅛” (3000 mm) and clamping height of 3⅛” (80 mm).
Especially suitable for long and thin materials such as veneer.

The FORMAT-4 overhead saw guard is integrated nicely into the machine design. It is easy and convenient to use. With only a flick of the wrist the saw guard can be moved and tilted completely away from the machine area. The dust extraction hood adjusts itself automatically to the work piece height and always provides optimal working safety and dust extraction performance.

Free cutting from the middle of the sawblade to the upper protector tube amounts to 33“ (850 mm) at the maximum cutting height. With the maximum blade installed a free cut of 41.75“ (1060 mm) can be achieved. Therefore long panels, e.g. kitchen countertops, can be cut up with ease.

For crosscuts between +45° and –45°, the crosscut fence is set with the miter-scale that’s integrated into the saw sliding table. Quick attachment without tools is made possible by a T-slot and quick coupling on the side of the saw sliding table. The miter scale and the magnifying glass on the fence-stop, readable from the operating area, allow you to make precise adjustments up to 43/80 inches.

The input of the of the workpiece widths A, B and the input of the desired frame angle, is carried out on the integrated computer via the keypad. Das Einstell­ergebnis erscheint zehntelgrad­genau am Display.

Just set the double miter gauge at the calculated value and work away with results of … pinpoint accuracy!

The fence stop on the fence plates can be adjusted up to 53 inches with the scale. Depending on set angles, the length compensating vernier scale is available. With this you can also set the exact workpiece length when angle cutting.

The ideal accessory for parallel cutting on the “X-Roll” sliding table. Take advantage of your “X-Roll” sliding table and the outrigger together with the parallel fence and guarantee exact positioning of your workpiece. The parallel fence is clamped to the sliding table. The integrated scale is easily read via the lens from 1”–39⅜” (25–1000 mm) (metric scale only). This system allows you to work quickly and efficiently with long narrow workpieces and when multiple pieces are required.

At last: Quickly, comfortably and without any effort, you can now remove or install your outrigger table with the help of the transport and mounting unit. The outrigger with the crosscut fence attached is now conveniently stored away!
